Description:Complementing its soothing and healing powers, Warm Mineral Springs is also of significant historical interest. The Smithsonian Institute has written up this historical site, listed in the National Register of Historical Places, as one of the most important underwater archaeological sites in America. Warm Mineral Springs is a rare gem, which has yielded unprecedented information about the ways of the Florida Paleo Indians. The ledges beneath the springs and 'Debris Cone' have been the focus of many underwater archaeology investigations.
