Description:Interested in learning how rocks and minerals are formed? You know how old the earth is, but do you know why we experience earth quakes, volcanoes and sinkholes? Do you know where your drinking water comes from? Would you like to see some of nature's most exotic and rare minerals, beautiful gems and precious stones, petrified dinosaur bones and a dazzling collection of fluorescent rocks and minerals?

Come visit the Gillespie Museum and learn how the earth influences our daily lives. Gain a greater appreciation of our natural environment, our home planet Earth. Take a walk on the Museum grounds amidst the abundant shrubs and trees native to Florida and enjoy this fascinating “earth science museum in a natural setting”.
