Description:Old Fort Lauderdale Village offers many programs and activities including teaching children about pioneer life through hands-on reenactments, a museum, schoolhouse class programs, guided tours of exhibits in the museum of history, guided walking tours of the historic district and special events and lectures throughout the year.

Old Fort Lauderdale Village & Museum includes
: • 1905 New River Inn, which houses Old Fort Lauderdale Museum of History
• 1905 Philemon Bryan House, which houses the administrative offices of the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society
• 1907 King-Cromartie House, which houses a museum of pioneer lifestyle
• Hoch Heritage Center, which houses the collections and research facility
• Replica 1899 Schoolhouse, a reproduction of Broward County’s first schoolhouse
• 1905 Acetylene Building, which provided acetylene gas for lighting

Old Fort Lauderdale Village is easily recognized with historic markers and period lighting and landscaping that matches the lush tropical beauty of a bygone era.
