This was an interesting and enjoyable day with the kids. They enjoyed seeing animals up close and in a somewhat open setting. However, be aware that it's definitely and obviously a fenced area. It's not like being on safari. I was especially disappointed that the lions were inside a fence. I expected them to be roaming free like the rest of the animals. That being said, the kids really enjoyed the day. It is expensive though so do try to find a coupon either on their website or in a brochure (find them in a hotel lobby).

Pricey but enjoyable. Your encounter with the animals depends on the heat and their mood, but it was helpful to be able to do the tour in our own car without getting the toddlers all out. There is an additional area to get out and enjoy some rides, food, and shows. You could easily spend half the day there. It does get quite hot during the summer and the animals are a little more lethargic. It would be a better place to visit during the cooler months.

This is a really neat place! First you drive through a safari trail in your own car at your own pace. Get an upclose look at African animals, as you drive right next to zebra's, rhino's, giraffes. All while you drive through you listen to a cd about the animals. After you drive through the safari, you park and get to see more animals, as well as there is a water splash park for the kids, a ferris wheel, and a few other rides for the kids to enjoy. There is also a cafe for you to dine at.

Great experience. We live 5 minutes away and have had a annual pass. The animals are so unique...much better than your run-of-the-mill zoo animals. The amusement park you can walk through has fun stuff to entertain the kids for the rest of the day. Water play area for the hot summer days. Kids love the free putt-putt. Go at least once and use a coupon from local flyers or their website!

My children truly enjoyed being able to ride through and see all of the animals with the guided tour. We learned so much about the animals and their native habitats. We also did an enrichment where my children made toys for the animals. It was truly a great experience. In the end we played at their water park and rode the amusement rides. There was also canoeing available and a boat ride. Truly a little jewel.
